Hello,
I am a freelance, London-based sound designer, editor & recordist (and occasional composer). My background is in live theatre, with over 20 years of professional experience. My work also covers dance, film, audio drama and art installations, often incorporating binaural sound techniques.
I have a particular interest in devised work, creating theatre organically during the rehearsal process and exploring the possibilities of marrying sound operation to live performance.
I was previously a member of the National Theatre's Sound & Video department, for over a decade. I worked within all the venue's spaces in a variety of roles and alongside a wide range of directors, sound designers and musicians, including: Complicité, Katie Mitchell, Rufus Norris, Gareth Fry, Paul Arditti, Matthew Herbert, Goldfrapp and Cerys Matthews.
In 2019 I made an album, Big Track, for the Where It’s At Is Where You Are label. A 77 minute piece comprised of field recordings manipulated with electro-acoustic and Musique Concrète techniques. Available through Bandcamp or to stream on Spotify.
