Mike is a freelance, London-based sound designer, editor, recordist and engineer. His background is in live theatre with over 25 years of professional experience, including over a decade as a member of the National Theatre's Sound & Video department. Now his work also covers dance, film, audio drama, exhibitions and more…
He has a particular interest in making devised work - creating theatre organically during the rehearsal process and exploring the possibilities of marrying sound operation to live performance. Mike is also a specialist in using binaural sound techniques.
Recent projects have included sound design work for Gorillaz’s live show and the exhibition David Bowie: You’re Not Alone at Lightroom.
Mike also works as a live sound engineer, most frequently at London’s Cafe Oto and with the singer Josienne Clarke.
